Having just spent the past few hours walking around a lake which was surrounded by trees in all their autumn splendour, throwing sticks for the dog in the fallen leaves, I wonder how I could have enjoyed living in a city for so long.
Are you either a country person or a city person? Is it possible to be both? Having grown up both rural areas and in a city, I think it is. I love towns and cities for what they have to offer and I do miss the more cosmopolitan atmosphere that a large city offers, but I like peace and quiet - something that is rare comodity in a household of 5 + dog - so the countryside wins hands down in that regard.
There's no need to be confined to pavements just because you have a baby. Get a sling or a baby carrier and get out there, enjoy the colours of autumn!
