So, imagine my horror when it was suggested that I cut back on them along with other every day essentials such as chocolate and cheese. However, me being me, I didn't just cut back, I cut them out completely.
I'm not overweight, but I have gallstones and eating fatty foods really doesn't help... Never having been on a diet I can now fully sympathise with anyone who has. The cravings....The temptation....
We Brits invented snacking and if you think about it we have a legitimate excuse to eat at almost every point in the day: Breakfast, morning coffee, elevenses, lunch, afternoon tea, tea, supper, midnight feast. Have I missed anything? You can tell I'm hungry as I'm talking about food all the time.
I'm off to nibble on a dried apricot.
